The name, Riviera Maya is relatively new to most vacationers. By most standards, it is the region between Cancun and Puerto Morelos. It includes the popular destinations of Play del Carmen and the ruins in Tulum, as well as the little known resort of Puerto Aventuras.

Riviera Maya's annual average temperature is 25.5 degrees Celsius (78 degrees Fahrenheit). This steady temperature might fluctuate but not by more than 8 degrees. It truly is perfect weather! Don't forget a light wrap during the winter months as the cool night air can be a little chilly.

The Cancun International Airport is 42 miles from the Mayan Palace Resort. It is served by most major airlines, including AeroMexico, Air Canada, Air Tran, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta, Frontier Airlines, Jet Blue Airways, United and US Airways. Taxi services and rental cars (4x4s are the most popular) are available for airport transfers. There is valet at the Mayan Palace Resort.
Once at the resort, guests can explore Mayan Palace Riviera Maya by foot, by bicycle or on our resort shuttles. Resort accommodations, the Brio Spa and Fitness Center, several dining venues, a white sand beach and the El Manglar executive golf course are all on the resort property.
